Man in 60s slain in Southeast Washington, police say

A 66-year-old man was found fatally shot Thursday night in Southeast Washington, the D.C. police said.

Sherman Bunch, of Northeast Washington, was found in a car about 6 p.m. in the 4000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE, the police said. He had been shot and died at the scene, according to the police.

Officers went there after a shooting was reported, the police said.

No information was available about any motive or suspect.

The site is in the Fairfax Village area of Southeast Washington, only yards from the boundary between the city and Prince George’s County.
